The Xylo Beat Australia Song Book and CD is a collection of 20 songs and rhymes for primary school music teachers and students, arranged with accompanying ostinati. The songs and arrangements are of varying difficulty, progressing from simple rhymes through to fairly challenging songs. Some are ‘rounds’ and some work well as both choral and percussion pieces. Many also support maximum use of resources by being playable by two students per single xylophone. Lyrics for all parts/ostinati are included with the music notation. Each song, with vocal and instrumental melodies, plus ostinati (with layered entries), is presented on the accompanying CD.
